Our Community
Adath Israel is situated in the scenic Sunset District of San Francisco. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate Park and the San Francisco Zoo, there is always plenty to do and to see.
Members of our community live in the Sunset, Inner Sunset, Parkside, West Portal, Ingleside and St. Francis Woods Neighberhoods. Within walking distance there are multiple housing options. From large, midsized and starter single family homes, to apartments in a range of sizes and price ranges, there are a plethora of housing options.
There are also multiple modes of public transportation in the area. From buses to streetcars, there are many ways to get downtown in minutes without ever having to get in your car. Plus, there is ample street parking in the area.
There are also multiple shopping options, including the Stonestown shopping mall and the West Portal outdoor shopping area. There is also a Kosher market, local coffee shops and supermarkets.
We are also located within walking distance of The University of California San Francisco Medical Center, one of the most prestigous research hospitals in the country.
