Wednesday nights May 5th and 12th at 8 PM
Two weeks ago, in my Derasha I spoke about the importance of creating a “communal standard of Kashrut” to help avoid confusion about what constitutes a “Kosher home”.
There will always be different standards that individuals decide to keep, but the more we know the better we can work together to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all.
In that regard, I’ll be teaching a two-part series Wednesday nights May 5th and 12th at 8 PM about keeping a Kosher home. We will discuss how to Kasher appliances and countertops, the prohibition of eating insects and how to check for them, procedures for meat and milk when you have only one over, sink or dishwasher, and much more.
The classes will be text based, and will also be posted online. There is no charge to attend, but I would appreciate an RSVP if you plan on attending.
